At Highland Ave, our project began a little unconventionally. Before the larger renovation and addition got underway, we tackled the second-floor laundry and three kids’ bedrooms first—giving the kids a chance to settle into their new spaces and the whole family time to find their rhythm at home. For the boys’ rooms, we leaned into classic menswear-inspired patterns and for their daughter, traditional botanicals brought a softer, timeless layer. One of our favorite details was finding a place for the family’s Eames chair in their son’s bedroom. It’s traveled with them from home to home over the years—and we love when a new space can make room for pieces that already hold a story. ✨Design: @safferstoneinteriorsPhotography: @mcbecks_pixStyling: @gabriellelangdon_

Construction and installations have wrapped up at our Buckmanville Rd project in New Hope. The client always wanted her home to have a timeless feel, like it had always been there. Here's how we did old but new in the best of ways! We're styling and photographing in a few short weeks - I can't wait to gussy her up and share every detail with you. Design: @safferstoneinteriors Build: MJ Costigan Builders

From the early days of our Highland Ave project, one thing was certain: our clients wanted a very special wet bar in their formal dining room.Longtime admirers of @christopherpeacock, they knew this could become a bespoke element of their first floor design. Working in collaboration with the Chicago showroom, we considered every detail to optimize beauty, function, and longevity. Our clients love to host - the bar needed to be more than pretty to look at. Generous storage keeps china, glassware, and personal treasures close by, and a sink and paneled refrigerator allow cocktails to be mixed without leaving the room.A hand-painted finish, walnut interiors in each opening, revealed inside the worktop cabinets, unlacquered brass hardware, and full-height Viola marble give the piece an old soul, nodding back to the home's age and history. The integrated prep sink - an 11th hour decision made to replace a hammered brass sink - is the icing on the cake. Check our stories today stored in our Highland Ave highlight for a look back at how it unfolded. CP Designer: Sean DalyDesign: @safferstoneinteriorsPhotography: @mcbecks_pixStyling: @gabriellelangdon_

A well-made sofa doesn’t have to be a one-and-done

A well-made sofa doesn’t have to be a one-and-done purchase. We were updating some spaces in a client's home in Bucks County who has a lovely collection of well made, mid-century furniture. We took an existing sofa that is many decades old and gave it a completely new life by simply reupholstering it in a fabric that felt right for that client and their space. That’s one of the things I love about working with good furniture: when the bones are right, you have options. You can change the fabric and update the cushions. You can give a piece an entirely different feeling without replacing something that was worth keeping.Custom upholstery is about more than just how it looks for now. It’s about creating something that feels considered, personal, and made to live with you for years.I like furniture that gets to have a life and evolve with yours along the way.I wrote much more about this in our blog 'What Happens When You Stop Shopping for a Sofa and Start Designing One'. Give it a read at our Linkin bio.

Thank you to @Houzz for featuring our Deerfield powder room in their recent editorial, “5 Home Design Trends Pros Say Have Staying Power in 2026.”The article highlights a growing return to materials like plaster—finishes that bring texture, character, and imperfection to a space. It’s a shift we love seeing - those nuanced details are often what make a home feel authentic rather than designed. We’re especially honored to be part of a conversation about what truly lasts, because the most meaningful homes aren’t designed around trends. They’re thoughtfully layered with custom pieces, collected treasures, and details chosen specifically for the people who live there. It’s something we explore in our latest blog, “What Happens When You Stop Shopping for a Sofa and Start Designing One.” Because sometimes, creating a home that feels distinctly yours means designing the piece rather than simply shopping for it.Read the article via the link in our bio. Our latest blog can be found there, too. Photography: @mcbecks_pix Styling: @gabriellelangdon_
